 In
1978 Dr. White became interested in the field of hair
transplantation and as a result, undertook a course of
tuition from a leading hair transplant surgeon in Sydney
to venture into the field. Later that following year he
started working for a commercial transplant clinic in
Melbourne.
In 1982 Dr. White was a founding member of the Australasian
Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and today this board
includes Australia's best transplant surgeons.
 Over
the years Dr. White progressed through a steep learning
curve but became increasingly aware of the limitations
of the methods in practice. As a result he decided that
he must look overseas for more sophisticated techniques.
Hair transplantation has posed many aesthetic challenges
and over the years he has worked closely with leading
physicians in Austria, Canada, Munich, Sydney & United
States in finding the ultimate in hair transplanting. |
Dr
Barry White is the Medical Director and founder of the
National Hair Institute. He graduated as a pharmacist
in 1957 and went on to medical studies in 1961. He completed
his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery),
and undertook postgraduate studies in Morbid Anatomy and
Histopathology. 
Dr
White is partnered in the Practice by his son, Marcus
White. Marcus has been with the National Hair Institute
since 1994 and has worked extensively with its many clients
and acts as Patient Advisor.
