In 1996 with fifteen years experience already behind him Dr White established the National Hair Institute to treat hair loss exclusively. Now our mission is to advance the art and science of hair restoration through clinical practice and research. We aim to provide our patients with the most natural results achieved in the shortest possible time. We will seek out the best methods and technology to achieve our aims. Our head office is in Melbourne and we also have offices in Sydney and the Gold Coast. The National Hair Institute also treats overseas patients from the USA, Britain, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, India and Pakistan. The Melbourne clinic includes Dr Barry White, Dr Rhett Bosnich, up to nine theatre technicians and a further six admin and support staff.

 Our Facility

In 1998 the National Hair Institute purchased its current premises in Middle Park, Victoria and set about rebuilding it into a dedicated facility for hair transplantation.

We are located off to the side of a small suburban shopping strip with discreet signage.

The building was built in 1915 and was originally a Commonwealth Bank branch until it was decommissioned in 1998 and sold off in a rationalization of bank branches. Once acquired by NHI it was gutted and enlarged to house three state of the art operating theatres and room for all the support staff required to run a modern medical facility.
