Latest Hair Loss Medical Release

We also have available a medication that has been shown in clinical trials to stop hair loss for 80% of men who take it. However as it is a prescription medication the Therapeutic Goods Administration regulations restrict us from divulging the name of the medication.
The medication works by reducing a naturally occurring enzyme in the body. This results in a reduced amount of testosterone being converted to dihydrotestosterone(DHT). And with a reduced amount of DHT in the system hair loss is in many cases reduced and in some cases there can be some additional thickening. There are also some limited side affects.
We have however had many years of experience with it and recommend its use on its own for those in the early stages of hair lossand in some cases in conjunction with a hair transplant to stop further loss of the non transplanted hair.
Your doctor will discuss this medication with you during your assessment if he feels it is appropriate for your circumstances.
